Initial Setup :
Firstly, we decided to start this campaign with using any pre-landing page. As Imonetizeit’s Dating Smartlink already has high converting and tested pre landing pages. However, you can always test your campaigns with a pre-lander as it may sometimes gives you better results.

Secondly, push traffic is considered to be of high quality and hence, it is quite expensive as compared to other ad formats like in-page push. So, we decided to go with push traffic from Push.House. We saw the estimated traffic we can get while setting up our campaign. We setup a CPC slightly above minimum CPC and started the campaign.
Dating Push Ad Creative Examples:
We used a total of 4 ad creatives with 2 images and 2 headlines. Out of these, 2 creatives brought the most number of clicks as well as conversions. We increased the bid for these two creatives and rest of the other creatives were blacklisted.
Our top performing creatives were as follows :
Optimisation Strategy :
Our optimization strategy was different since we decided to test with a very small budget. We used Day Parting to maximize our conversion rates and spend less. That means, we ran our ads during specific period of the day using the campaign schedule feature. Most people are at home during evening, so we targeted this time period.
We used the following targeting settings :
Device Type : Android mobile devices.
Browsers: Chrome and Samsung Browser.
Browser Language : All (Since, IMonetizeit’s smartlink shows landing as per the device language) [No worries :-)]
Connection Type : All (Both Wifi + Cellular)
Traffic settings : Push.House Traffic + Partners Traffic
Traffic Activity : Premium + High + Medium
After running for few days, we started blacklisting non-performing ad creatives and source ids and increase bid for the performing creatives and sources.
We used also some rules for further optimization :
- Block the CREATIVE if it receives 75 clicks but no conversions.
- Block the SOURCE if it receives 50 Clicks but no conversions.
- Block the CREATIVE if it spends $3 but no conversions.
- Block the SOURCE if it spends $6 but no conversions.
Please note that since push ads are more expensive and high quality, and we had a very small budget so we could only afford to spend just 3$ and 6$ on creatives and source for testing. But fortunately, we found some wining sources and creatives and we could peacefully block the poor performing ones.
