Initial Setup :

We initially decided to launch this campaign without using a pre-landing page since Imonetizeit’s Dating Smartlink already includes high-converting, well-tested pre-landing pages. However, testing your campaigns with a custom pre-lander is always an option, as it may sometimes deliver even better results.

Secondly, push traffic is known for its high quality, which makes it more expensive compared to other ad formats, such as in-page push. For this reason, we opted for push traffic from Push.House. During the campaign setup, we reviewed the estimated traffic potential and set a CPC slightly above the minimum rate before launching the campaign.

Dating Push Ad Creative Examples:

We utilized four ad creatives in total, comprising two images and two headlines. Among these, two creatives generated the highest number of clicks and conversions. To maximize results, we increased the bid for these top-performing creatives, while the remaining ones were blacklisted.

Optimisation Strategy :

Our optimization strategy took a unique approach, as we decided to test the campaign with a very small budget. To maximize conversion rates while minimizing costs, we implemented Day Parting. This strategy involved running ads during specific times of the day using the campaign scheduling feature. Since most people are at home during the evening, we targeted this time period for better results.

We used the following targeting settings :

Device Type : Android mobile devices.

Browsers: Chrome and Samsung Browser.

Browser Language : All (Since, IMonetizeit’s smartlink shows landing as per the device language)

Connection Type : All (Both Wifi + Cellular)

Traffic settings : Push.House Traffic + Partners Traffic

Traffic Activity : Premium + High + Medium

After running the campaign for a few days, we began blacklisting non-performing ad creatives and source IDs while increasing bids for the high-performing ones.

We also implemented specific rules for further optimization:

  • Block the CREATIVE if it receives 75 clicks but no conversions.
  • Block the SOURCE if it receives 50 clicks but no conversions.
  • Block the CREATIVE if it spends $3 without generating conversions.
  • Block the SOURCE if it spends $6 without generating conversions.

Since push ads tend to be more expensive and of higher quality, and given our very limited budget, we could only allocate $3 and $6 for testing creatives and sources respectively. However, we were fortunate to identify a few winning sources and creatives, enabling us to confidently block the underperforming ones.
